Salary: $12.00 per hour
 
Position Description: 
If you like helping people, we have the job for you!  Bridgeview Public Library is seeking a friendly and dynamic Reference Clerk to bring enthusiasm and your passion for working with the public to our team.  Duties include reference and readers’ advisory, assisting patrons with internet and computer tasks, instructing patrons how to use the library catalog, library databases, and e-reader downloading services, updating library website, taking reserve requests, placing and trapping local holds and completing interlibrary loan transactions.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required.

Desired Skills: Previous work experience with the public, advanced computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft products, Internet searching, database searching, and email usage including creating new email accounts and opening and attaching documents, familiarity with social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, Google +, Snapchat, Tumblr., Vine, etc., creative problem solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
Must be available to work days, evenings and Saturdays.

Youth Services
Part Time 19 hours - $10.00
Youth Services – Bridgeview Public Library
Part Time - 19 hours per week. Must be flexible and available days, evenings and Saturdays.
Salary: $10.00 per hour

The Bridgeview Library has a 19 hour position open in the Youth Services Department.  Resumes will be accepted by email only at the address below.

Candidates should have professional working experience with children of all ages. Some college coursework in early childhood or elementary education preferred.  Retail experience, volunteer experience with children, or the ability to speak a second language such as Arabic, Polish or Spanish are all a plus.
