The 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Program builds critical early literacy skills, expands vocabulary, and creates strong bonding moments between adults and young children. Reading just one book a day results in over 1,000 books in three years, setting a solid foundation for school success.
- Read to your child and log in the books you read together. And yes, you can log the same book more than once!
- Once you reach 100 book milestone, come to the library to redeem your child’s prize.
- Your child receives a prize for every 100 books they complete.
- Once your child reaches 1000 books, they will receive a certificate of completion and a Kindergarten themed goodie bag!
