  • Space is limited and a maximum capacity number has been set for each program. 
  • Some programs require that participants be within a certain age range.
  • Age requirements will be enforced to ensure a pleasant experience for all.
  • Age requirements will be stated in the brochure or on the website.

Registration is at the YS desk 30 minutes before the start of the program. No registration for drop in programs. We are not able to allow anyone into program 10 minutes after it begins.

Monday, September 14th and October 5th at 11am & 1pm – Ready, set, FOCUS!: This interactive session focuses on foundational learning skills: early literacy, attention span development, and social-emotional growth. A parent or caregiver must attend with the child. Choose which session is best for you. Ages 3 to 5 years (before Kindergarten). MAX 12

Wednesday, September 16th at 4pm – Lego Zipline: Design your own Lego creation that can make it all the way down the zipline. Grades 3rd-6th MAX 10

Fridays, beginning September 18th at 11am – Book, Boogie & Play!:  A well rounded storytime for our youngest patrons! We will read a story, boogie to music with instruments, and finish off playing various sensory activities together. Ages 18 months to 3 years MAX 15

Fridays beginning September 18th from 3-5pm – Yay for Fridays!: Drop in for a different sensory activity each week. Grades K-6th (children will not be admitted after 4:45pm)

Saturday, September 19th from 2-4pm – Drop-in All about Leaves Craft: Stop in anytime during the program to do a variety of craft projects using leaves to celebrate fall. Grades K-6th

Tuesday, September 22nd at 4pm – Strawberry DNA: We will be extracting strands of DNA from a strawberry, using common household items. Grades 3rd-6th MAX 15

Wednesday, September 23rd, October 7th, & October 21st at 1pm – Homeschool Club Science Wow!: Meet with other homeschool families and have fun learning about science. Grades K-6th MAX 15

Thursday, September 24th at 4pm – Tea Party Storytime & Bingo: Join us for a reading of Tea Party Rules by Ame Dyckman. We will have refreshments, bingo, and more! Grades K-2nd MAX 15

Saturday, September 26th at 2pm – Harvest Moon Lanterns: Celebrate the Harvest Moon and make a lantern to take home! Grades K-6th MAX 12

Monday, September 28th at 4pm – Candy Paint: We will be tracing Halloween candy onto a canvas with carbon paper and then painting with acrylic markers, all while enjoying a Halloween treat! Grades 3rd-6th MAX 15

Wednesday September 30th & October 21st at 3pm – Messy Art Storytime: Be a part of a masterpiece! We’ll read a story and create a giant art project as a group to hang up in the library! Ages 3-6 years (child must be accompanied by an adult over 16 years) MAX 15

Saturday, October 3rd from 2-4pm – Drop-in Bookmark Design Competition: Stop in to create your own bookmark and enter our contest! Our Bridgeview Library patrons will then vote for their favorite! The winner will have their design turned into bookmarks and given out at the Youth Services desk for all to enjoy! ALL AGES

Saturday, October 10th at 2pm – Optical Illusions: You Won’t Believe Your Eyes! Kids will be drawing an image that plays a trick on the brain, and then we will make invisible ink to write secret messages! Grades K-6th MAX 15

Wednesday, October 14th at 4pm – The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh Movie & Snack: Hip Hip Pooh-RAY! We’re celebrating 100 years of Winnie the Pooh! Come as a family and enjoy some Hundred Acre themed snacks. Ages 3-12 years (children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult) MAX 20

Saturday, October 17th at 2pm – Starry Night Raccoon Art: Learn about local wildlife and create an adorable animal art masterpiece! Grades K-6th MAX 15

Monday, October 19th at 4pm – Pumpkin Storytime: Enjoy a few pumpkin stories, followed by playing pumpkin games. Grades K-2nd MAX 15

Tuesday, October 20th at 4pm – Pumpkin Guts: This is a hands-on, messy sensory experience where you can explore the inside of a pumpkin and make slime! Grades K-6th MAX 15

Thursday, October 22nd at 6pm – Pet Ghosts: Want a pet that’s low maintenance and easy to take care of? Then come and make your own pet ghost! We will mold clay into the shape of a ghost, and paint it to glow in the dark! While it dries, we will make a cute and spooky home for your ghost!                                         Grades 3rd-6th MAX 15

Saturday, October 24th at 2pm – It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown Movie & Popcorn: Who will wait in the patch for the great pumpkin to arrive? Stop by for some popcorn and watch the movie with us. Grades K-6th MAX 25

Thursday, October 29th at 6pm – Scary Storytime: Do you dare to be scared? Join us for an evening of eerie tales, urban legends, and spooky mysteries perfect for older elementary kids. Note for Parents: This program is specifically designed to be delightfully spooky but age-appropriate for ages 8–12. No graphic gore, just good old-fashioned goosebumps! Grades 3rd-6th MAX 15

Friday, October 30th at 11am – Not so Spooky Storytime: Come dressed in your favorite costume and enjoy this Halloween storytime in a not so spooky way! Ms. Amy will read a not so spooky story, we’ll dance to toddler Halloween music, and spend our remaining time doing a simple Halloween craft. Before you leave, we’ll have a parade around the library to get some treats! Ages 18 months-4 years MAX 15
